Wrap up well in style.

It's official, Summer is over and we are in to September already. It is exciting though as we can now start shopping for our winter wear that's hitting stores right now. A jacket/coat is always a great investment and why not do it in style. Here is my guide to keeping well wrapped up but also staying on trend.

The over sized jacket

1 - Mango // 2- H&M

I adore the over sized jacket. I think this style appeals to a broad audience and not only does it look stylish it allows you to wear heavy knitwear underneath.

Trending colour-Pink

1 - River Island // 2 - ASOS.com
Pink is the must have colour this season. Step out in a bright pink jacket on those cold, dark winter mornings.

Tartan/Grid

1 - Mango // 2 - Boohoo.com //3 - ASOS.com

Be extra trendy this winter with tartan and grid pattern jackets. Coming in all different colours, you will find one to suit and match the style you are after.

Belt it up

1 - Boohoo.com // 2 - Mango // 3 - Mango

The mac will never go out of trend. A belt around the waist gives great shape to show off those fabulous curves. Choose a jacket with PU sleeves for extra detail. If you already have a similar style jacket but it does not have a belt, why not choose a belt you already have in your wardrobe.

The Biker jacket

1 - Boohoo.com // 2 - River Island // 3 - River Island

How fun is the biker jacket? It was cropped for the spring/summer now for autumn/winter elongate it to keep you snug and warm

Animal print

The animal print may not be for everyone but this trend will never get old and will carry you right through to spring

The block jacket
1 - Topshop //  2 - River Island

Block colouring is still in fashion and it is a great way to mix and match colours

The boyfriend jacket

2 - Topshop1 - Topshop //  3 - Topshop

Boyfriend jackets are an ideal way to wrap up in a loose but bulky design ensuring you beat the bitter cold winter air.

The fur coat

There is so many different ways you can incorporate the fur jacket to suit your taste. They can be easily be transformed to suit day to night looks.

The maxi jacket

Asos.com

I am loving the maxi jacket. Great for those wet days. As this jacket is very long, petite sizes should stick to a coat length above the knee.

I hope this guide helps you to buying the perfect jacket x

  2. I really love the belted coats. Putting a belt on a coat really gives an hourglass silhouette.
